Hey, I rescued this salamander from my pool. When I found it, it was bleached white from the chlorine and I was sure it was dead, I went to toss it in the compost but it was moving. So I set up a quick tank with moist paper towels and some old (sterilized) aquarium things to hide under. It has been a couple months and it has regained it's colour and is more lively than ever. The thing is, I don't know what it is. I'm leaning towards a Tiger Salamander. It doesn't seem to love swimming around. I have been waiting on a biology teacher to get back to help me identify, but I found this forum and thought I should ask. The pictures of tiger salamanders I looked up were very big, this one obvisouly isn't that big so I am lost. It could be young or it could not be one at all

Anyways, here is the picture.

Thanks for any help.

Well that is the salamander. Strange apparently one of the most widespread and I didnt even read about it when I was looking at BC Salamanders. Then again all that ever comes up is Pacific Giant Salamanders and Tigers.

Thanks a ton! :D
