help i think my axolotl has red leg!

what are your parameters?
temp?
substrate?
water conditioner?
im genuinely worried for the lives of these animals, i don’t know if they're going to recover or survive without professional care immediately. i think that letting it get this far was also a mistake, but appreciate your bravery in posting about it anyways. i’m frustrated, but not entirely at you, i hope you understand. i’m rambling. oh well. i just feel that these animals should either have a dramatic change in the way they are cared for or should otherwise be surrendered.
i understand that you are worried, the axies were perfect and healthy, but then, randomly, the water turned green after 2-3 days. i now understand why and will prevent this from ever happening again.

essentially. they’re just like little treats i feed when i need them to fatten up and they refuse everything else
i’m trying to get my female to bulk up so she can be ready for eggs, she eats bloodworm cubes and nightcrawlers constantly

That's really cool lol. I would never breed my axolotls, if this happened just with a little slip-up just imagine. It would be a baby axie masacare :C. anyways,,, what type of axolotls do you have?

i was just about to ask if you had axolotls, but its kinda obvious-
i used to have three, two rescues and my own bought from a breeder. now i only have the one female, but have ”called dibs on” a male from another breeder so i can eventually raise my own. my two rescues have been rehabbed and rehomed :)

yeah golden and wild, based off the first pic. second pic is hard to tell, but the first is definitely wild
sorry for asking you something at this time, but i wanted to know how long should i keep my filter on in my axolotl tank? And how everyone in a while should i turn it off?

always keep it on, it shouldn’t ever be off

How are they now? To be honest, I agree with axolotl nerd on surrendering them. Did you cycle the tank? I also noticed you never answered your water parameters, what are those at?
hey sorry, it's taken me so long to answer. I am currently traveling overseas, I left my axolotls with a trusted family member. I was unable to check the water parameters before leaving, I did a deep-cleaning, bought a new filter, and they have recovered. They are no longer sick.
