use two tubs of equal size (preferably ceramic glass or pyrex), fill both with dechlorinated water and 2g/l non-iodised salt, put both in same area so both are same temperature, put your axolotl in one of the tubs (make sure to place lid or something to prevent jumping out), feed at night change water in morning, try bloodworms (or smaller food portions) as they will be easier to digest then larger worms, ten minutes before doing water change in morning add enough drops of methylene blue to turn water a light blue (similar to the colour of a 0ppm nitrite test), after ten minutes remove axolotl and place into second tub, wash/clean first tub and refill with water ready for next water change, repeat daily until any improvement.
