Here's a picture of one of my Eastern Newts about six months after losing both front hands
But she's doing very well.
After she (and another newt, who lost one hand) lost their limbs, I put them in the hospital tank for a few months, where I made it really easy for them to eat, until they had hands enough to get along in the community tank.
Just in case anyone's interested in how they look when they grow back.
In my experience with lost limbs in these and chinese fire bellies, they get small little hands quickly, and over a period of 1-2 years their hands gradually get larger until you can't tell anymore.
