hi. i'm fairly certain that the dark spot you're referring to in the picture are just it's organs, as they are fairly translucent at that age. as for the missing limbs and digits, those are likely from siblings cannibalizing them. fortunately, axolotls retain stem cells throughout their lives, so with time and care they should grow back.
because you're new, i assume you've got a lot of questions, so feel free to pm me with whatever you need help with.
could we see your setup? just want to ensure you're doing it alright.

also, i recommend tea baths to help avoid fungus in the missing limbs. i can send you a tutorial if you need it

whew I am idk, Well Ok, Heres the setup How Do we let them take flea baths?

if the fore feet are damaged due to sibling cannibalism then tea baths at this point will have no effect as the wounded area is closed over, only time will tell as to whether the fore feet will grow back properly or not, there is also the chance that they won't grow back due to a disability.
as to the dark area, that is quite normal, because your axolotl is a leucistic his/her skin is slightly transparent so you can see his/her guts and organs, this will be less noticeable as he/she gets older

it looks alright in the sense of space, but i'd like to know what kind of filter you're using, what your parameters are, temperature, etc.
it looks like you're using a HOB filter, which usually creates flow (something axolotls don't like.) i highly recommend a sponge filter, i've been using them for the past 2.5-3 years.
i also think that a lid on your tank would be a very good investment- axolotls are known jumpers.
everything wolfen said is correct as well

Plus, I has to remove lid because i can keep temperature low for the axoltol

how do you go about keeping the tank cool? a lid shouldn't be of any issue.
also, we need to know your tamk parameters. not having them in the right range or not knowing them at all can and will kill your axolotl. knowing the water temperature is also paramount, as warm waters can be deadly to axolotls.
your filter is probably creating too much flow for your animal, but you can attach a sponge to the outlet portion of the filter to mitigate this.

honestly, i get the impression that you're a little kid, and an unprepared one at that. there's a lot of research that needs to be done before getting any pet, especially one as tricky as axololts.
i encourage you to ask questions, and reply to this thread. if you want your axolotl to be happy and healthy, you are going to need our advice.

Use a mesh lid made with stainless steel or something else that won't rust. That will allow air flow to keep water cool and prevent any accidents. Alternatively, you can lower the water level too but the mesh lid seems more ideal.

But HOW do we lower water level?

about how old are you? honestly, i think you should have a parent or guardian to help you with your animals.

i'll try to simplify the main questions,

1. how do you keep your tank cool?
2. do you know what cycling a tank is?
3. what temperature is the water?
But HOW do we lower water level?
you can lower the water level by using a siphon to remove water, but i doubt you have one.
you can use a large bowl to scoop out some of the water.

If you don't have a siphon or water test kit, it's highly recommended you get one. Until then, you can just use a bucket or a bowl to reduce water volume inside the tank. If your tank is at least 20g, it should be fine to leave it at half full until your axolotl grows, then you'll want to either upgrade the tank size or consider getting a lid to prevent accidents.

If you have a siphon, you can use the siphon. You don't need to remove the axolotl but make sure he's an area where he won't come face-to-face with the siphon as accidental injuries aren't fun. If you leave him in the tank while siphoning the water out, then maybe leave a treat for him like bloodworms or something in one area of the tank and focus the siphoning in another area of the tank so he's snacking on bloodworms while you're siphoning. Etc.

who ever created the tank set up in the picture had some idea of what is required and how to do it, there is oxygenation, the tank is standard bare bottom, there isn't much visible water movement caused by filter, there is a gap of at least two inches between water line and top, the water is quite clear, it is a new setup as noticeable by lack of algae growth.
I not sure that the poster is the person responsible for the tank maintenance but it is still a person who is worried about his/her pet.

I agree, I don't see anything wrong with the tank. Bubbles could be a sign of flow or a sign of an air-stone giving oxygenation. In terms of the overall set-up, I'm biased toward the naturalist approach so I'd give it a D- but the animal probably gives it a much higher grade than I do. There's a lot of places to hide even with a light shining on it which may just be on for photography purposes. I'm guessing the animal probably gives it around an A or A-.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
