hi everyone i raised this crested last year from a baby it lost its gills in august last year and has never left the water ,now it is forming what looks like a crest.i have never seen this before has anybody else seen this before cheers justin

He looks cool, and it looks like he's grown very fast.
I have only ever seen larvae or adults in the water, but i dont see very many (ive never seen an adult male)
WHere did you get it from? It would be illegal to collect a bay from the wild.

dont you think i know that. what are you trying to say i nick them from the wild .i am trying to save them in the wild i have reported many finds to the wildlife trusts over the years i would not take them from the wild i get them from eggs from charles snell and have done for many years

Oh, and I'm sure AJJ didn't mean any offence.
I'm really looking forward to getting Charles list of CB eggs this year!

I had the same thing happen with some T karelini.
They went from eggs to breeding in just one year.
The young stayed aquatic which Im sure helped the fast development, as they feed much better in water.

Great pic by the way, keep them coming.
