Question: Getting Set Up!

I got axolotls from him a little over a year ago. They're doing great. I'm sure you'll have an equally excellent experience.

Mac,

That's What I hear ;)

Amanda,

I've heard that from lots of people! Glad to hear it from another! :D

So I added the water last night and some well-washed sand! I am going to set up the filter tonight to try to catch some of the stuff I couldn't rinse off. I bought some plants to go into the tank as well. Hoping they make it, but not too worried if they don't either. :) I want to make something to put in the tank that the axies could maybe perch on to give them more floor space... like a second story or something. Hmmm... ;)

I have my tank cycling! It was very hot yesterday for Oregon (103) and my tank got up to 23 degrees. I was wondering where I can buy one of the thermometers that have an alarm on it? I have one that suctions onto the side of the tank and I'm not sure how reliable it is. I plan on setting up a fan to help cool it off a bit. It usually sits around 17 degrees even without air conditioning.

Thank you for all the help! It is much appreciated! :D

Does anyone know if I could feed mosquito larvae? We have a lot that have accumulated in a water bucket outside and I was going to dump them out, but thought they might have a use? What do you guys think?
