Found some sallys

Hornwort is an easy one to manage. Does root and doesn't need to have a lot of light.

the thing is I got a filter in my tank so I would like something that will not get caught in the filter

Well with the plants if you do it right, you won't need the filter

The filter might also be producing unnecessary excess heat that you don't want in your tank. What I see the majority of people, including myself, do is have a lot of live plants and just a sponge filter for filtration, while doing regular water changes and spot cleaning

I will probably keep my filter in my tank tell I get 7-8 plants

would the Nymphaea Rubra Bulb work with normal 1 1/2 inch gravel??

I honestly don't know, but it could, hopefully someone can help you out

my dad just pointed out that my tank is by a window but the windows facing south so would the plants die from not enough sun anyone who has experience with this?

I have a small lamp that I leave on during the day because my tank is away from sun exposure to avoid excess heat. Might I also suggest that you ditch the gravel and go bare-bottom or sand? Waste and other nastiness will get trapped under the gravel and make cleaning more difficult. Plus, in my opinion, sand/bare-bottom is more aesthetically pleasing.

I would like to keep my gravel I'll look in to those lamps

Oh, about the plants, in the meantime waiting for the plants to get here, you can use fake ones, like vines, and fake floating lilies

I have one fake plant in my tank and all of the newts pile on to it it's kind of funny

I ordered 2 elodea's they should get to me in 5 days or so
