On January second while I was able to find 20+ Ozark zigzag salamanders. These were my first herps of the year. Has anyone else been finding any salamanders?

You bet! As it happens, I was also out on January 2nd, in central Kentucky. That day we found 10 two-lined salamanders, 3 northern dusky salamanders, a ravine salamander, and 11 streamside salamanders. However, this is sort of normal for Kentucky in January. What you found sounds pretty awesome! Do you have any photos?
