Finally!!-My darling Axelina

Aww, yes, she is lovely, isn't she! Hihi, it's funny how it still is a mystery whether Axelina/o is a boy or a girl. She is about 7" in size, but I don't know her age, as I got her from the petshop. For the time being I'll call it her. I quess that puts my hope of getting another axie as a friend to her on hold, as I want them to be the same sex, so there won't be any unwanted babies!!

how will you be able to tell if the next one you buy is male or female unless its full grown?.

Alex, am thinking of getting a full-grown axie as her/his friend, so I can be sure

i think thats defo a female cause most males ive seen have quite larger lumps than that one, plus her belly seems really large and round indicating that she could be full of eggs

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
