Great night herping, for me, bad night for these guys. This was one of the the earliest Ambystoma movements recorded in VT (along with other records from that evening around the state. See vtherpatlas.org). It was in the 50s and raining this evening, but the ground froze up again a few days later, and temperatures were below 0F. There were also a lot of wood frogs out and about, over 50 of which had been hit by cars in a stretch of 200 feet.
