I agree with kaysie. Even though your young(thats not an excuse,im not much older) you seem to ignore what some experienced people are saying. We may not have proof or there may not be proof but our opinions have been stated more than once. If so many people believe in something you might take it into consideration...accept what we have to say and think about it...Dont ask why...why?...and why...We understand you dont get it but it wont work...There are only so many ways we can tell you...Im sorry if you feel looked down upon...Its not cause your young...Its because you got one idea in your head and you cant get it out no matter how many times I,kaysie,Mike, or anybody say it...Its just that your stubborn...That may sound harsh...But we arent against you...we just are dissapointed in how you dont listen(OMG! i sound like my mom)...But do what you think is right...If your animals dont make it, My simpathy is with them, but not you...Maybe then you'll realize that other people say things because we care not because we want you to have only one species...

Paul one more quick comment...Why are you giving advice on keeping cynops when youve never kept one...Give advice on experience not what you've read...Sorry bout that.

Watch out for the PEtsmart animals...They could be all really ill...Or missing limbs...I would say you could have 8 or 9 cynops in that tank...They may be mislabeled too.

i know, but its the only local place that sells them. and if i order them they might all be dead! but im going to look at them for at least 5 minunits and ask them to feed them. but before that ask them what they eat, i know what they eat but i want so see what they feed them and ill ask scientific name. they probably wont know. ;-0

How it will not work:

The main that the glass dividers would not work, in my opinion, is that it would be next to impossible to completely seal them across the top (up against the lid). Even a small crack from one partition to the next would result in newts/sals climbing from one section to the next.

Another reason not to do it is that it's very hard to remove the dividers. You may end up with a big tank you can't use later on (when you get tired of sals and want to set up a second salt water tank or something).

Another reason is that, if the water level were higher in one partition than the next, the glass might break. Water is surprisingly heavy and exerts a lot of pressure. Aquariums are designed to withstand this, but most people, including me, are probably are not qualified to engineer a glass divider that would be safe for deep water.

Paul, you continue to disappoint me. Petsmart is the WORST place to get animals. Get some that are captive bred and healthy from a breeder, if you're going to get them at all. It doesn't matter how long you quiz the employees, they're still poorly animals. Your youth denies you experience that you so desperately need. Why dont you do more research before you go buy animals? You never hurt my feelings. The only hurt is the belief that you're going to get animals without even knowing how to take care of them. And that if you do get them, and they're sick, that you wont take anyones advice because you have the "i know everything!" attitude. You dont know everything, or you wouldnt be here. But when you ask for advise, you just disregard it all. It makes no sense.

The caresheets are not 100% foolproof. You could follow those directions exactly and will still have problems.

But since you know everything, I suppose I dont have to tell you this.

BTW: as a PS, you're only 12, but still on this forum, even though it was pointed out that this is illegal. 50 posts later, and you're still posting...

and paul how are you back on the chat...you were about an hour ago...I thought you were banded...and as kaysie said it is illegal for you to be in this forum...And it made no difference with your posts because you never change your mind...Im sorry im just done discussing this...Its so sad to see someone not even think about our info...If you did want to get them from PETsMART at least have it be so you can help them heal...If youve never kept newts how can you cure them...

Wow what i wrote sounded funny...First i mean our suggestions not info...Second You should only take petsmart animals because you want them to have a better home....Not when you dont know much about newts and dont have a set up bio field in your water.
