Just outta curiosity, what happens let's say a blue tail breeds breeds with the gold dust or swordtail. What will the offsprings look like?

I've seen some crossbreeds, but I can't recall between which species. Those were all mostly black with almost no patterns. I thought they would look a lot more interesting.

Hi Zach,

I don't think blue tails and sword tails can crossbreed.

1. Blue tails (Hypselotriton cyanurus or Hypselotriton yunnanensis) are different from Sword tails (Cynops ensicauda). They belong to different genus.

2. Even within the same species of blue tails, individuals from different areas (populations) fail to crossbreed with each other.
