Cycling with axolotls in, how many water changes?

Oh and about the snails and worms and other critters - there are some of them pretty much in every aquarium at some point. They're tiny and won't do anything bad. If you think they're that nasty then you can just get someone to take them out for you. But you'll most likely get them in your tank at some point.

And filter floss is kind of like the stuffing in your pillow. The good bacteria can live on it in the filter.

Oh okay thank you, but if I only put fake plants, will I get snails and worms ?
Even for feeding them earthworms I had to do a big big effort, I still feed them blanched worms so snails in my tank would be way too much for me

You should be safe with fake plants, just make sure they are soft. A lot of people rub a piece of panty hose on them to see if the panty hose tears, meaning the plant could hurt delicate fish. I haven't encountered snails in anything other than live plants, but they don't do much and I kind of like them.

Omg I'm so scared right now ! I thought they only lived in live plants

You can probably avoid snails by avoiding live plants. But I swear some tiny worms will appear magically pretty much out of nowhere if there is anything at all for them to eat in the tank. :D

I don't understand the fear of the snails? is it just because you think they're icky? they can't hurt anything right? (I'm still learning about all that stuff too so please don't think me rude for asking)

Well, a phobia is a phobia I guess. Some people fear snakes, I don't, I fear snails and other disgusting things like that :)

I understand the ick factor. I have no problem with snails, but it was a bit difficult for me to start the worm farm and get used to "handling" them with feeding tongs.
And they still gross me out!

Same with worms ! In fact to make this short, I am afraid of almost everything haha. But seriously, I hate everything that is under water, things like snails, slugs, worms, insects etc. But I don't know how neither why I love axolotls, they are the exception! At first I was afraid to touch them the first few days but now they're like a dog or my cats to me haha
