Different kind of patterns...

On the same species, T. marmoratus: The green individual comes from the spanish northern coast and that yellowish from central Spain.

And with different species: The yellow marmoratus (from central Spain) and one pygmaeus (green)

I´m starting to feel bad for posting in all your threads hehe but if there´s something i like is watching pics of newts and specially this wonderful species. I really appreciate this kind of posts Ruben, because you rarely find a visual guide to colour variations for a species. It´s amazing how the differences between marmoratus localities can be a lot more evident than compered with another species( both extremely similar, but still another species).

You take some pretty awesome pics.

I've never seen a yellow one before.

That's really interesting, they look very different.
However, look at these two; they are
from the same batch, although the are not at all as dramatically different as the first two in the thread are.

Happens the same with mine. All are very brightly coloured , except one that is a lot darker, and even with a totally different pattern but still they are all brothers. Well i guess the more variety in the species the better for us marmoratus lovers hehe
