Question: Can I send eggs through the post?

Quick piccy for daz-

These little guys didn't grow as quick as the others, and they're still sat at around 4.5 inches.

Need to take some of the podgey leucistics too!

How lovely.

You say the Wild types are smaller than the Lucs? Well that's the beauty of genetics I suppose.

Barney, the Wild type mother is still about 1/2 - 3/4 the size of Fred the Luc dad and so it looks as though the sizing is somehow being passed on too.

Amazing how similar the coloration is to Barney's.

Thanks for sharing, would love a pic of the Lucs too.

Kia - You can send axie eggs (They are classed as fish eggs and fine to send), but you cannot send axolotls through the mail. All mine I sell are collection only. Are you the person I was talking to yesterday on Aquatics anonymous?

Daz- will take some photos of the leucistics today to post. I only had real cheap batteries and could only take 1 photo before they died! I put some of these little guys on Ebay, I still ended up with a load more than I could keep! As it was Barney's first eggs I didn't think the survival rate would be so high! We only lost 1 from the whole lot you sent us (and that was in the first week). We now have 6 tanks set up for the axies, 1 for the guppies, 1 for the shrimp (which are arriving next week), 1 for our goldfish (when they aren't cycling tanks for us) and a new one for a tiger sal. I live in an aquarium and it's mostly your fault lol :p

Not a brilliant pic, camera is playing up! PIC_0143.jpg

The water is an odd colour because of pieces of wood we added have stained it a little, but the axies seem to like it so I'm not that bothered. OH hates it though!

WOW! They look amazing, they appear to be so well looked after, well done.

If you weren't all the way in Bournemouth I'd be tempted to come and get one! haha

lol thanks, the only problem we've had is that they're starting to get a bit podgey. I think we'll have to cut back on the feeding a little! They're growing out of their nipping phase which is good. At the moment we have 6 leucistics in a 4 1/2 x 2 ft tank so there is plenty of space, they just tend to sit on eachother though. I'll have to get a photo of the one we gave to a friend. He seems to be the odd one out the bunch and has dark freckles all over his face and down the middle of his back.
