C. cyanurus larvae

I just got a hot tip from Ralf that these C. cyanurus larvae respond better to worms (like small whiteworms) than to Daphnia or brine shrimp. I just tried it, and they do seem to go after worms more avidly than they do Daphnia.

Yup, I've got the blackworm thing going for most of them now, there are some that are a little stubborn so I keep a some mircroworms and Daphnia in there too. Doing Great!

Yeah, my newtlings are eating pieces of chopped blackworms about half their body size! It takes them a while to get it down, but as long as the worms are wriggling a little the newts go crazy! They're eating chopped blackworms at about 1-2 months old.. most have 4 little legs except for the ones that got a leg or two eatten off by a friend : ( . But yeah, try blackworms! mine are fattening up quickly as soon as I put the worms in!

Since so many people now seem to have C. cyanurus larvae, how about some pics?

I haven't seen pics of larvae of this species beyond the first couple of weeks and am interested in seeing how they develop over time.
