C. cyanurus larvae (Part III)

Excellent! front and back legs now! And that odd larva is most certainly stunning to behold! Is it actually getting paler? It almost looks likes an axolotl at this stage!

By the way Tim, those flatworms will never be prey for your larvae. I have not seen larvae of any kind eating them for some reason. I have them in one of my nurseries and not a single larva has decided to snap them up as a prey item.

Nice, eh?

Here's a different light-colored one, with a nice red something-or-other there (from consuming brine shrimp?). I noticed the one in the first picture of this thread has the same red mark. I can't say for sure whether they're the same larva or different larvae.

As for the flatworms, the gravel in the tank is very lightweight, so when I gently swirl it around during cleaning time, the worms are easily displaced and siphoned out with the water. I was purposefully trying to siphon without disturbing them too much, figuring they were food, but if they're not food, then out they go! Thanks for the info
