Awe...I am really sorry to hear that you had to have them euthanized. Sometimes that is about all that can be done humanely in their favor. I am sure you did the best anyone could have done in your situation. They would have suffered so much more if left at the pet store or if someone else had bought them, so you gave them the best life possible in a no-win situation.

Next time, to save youself some time, extra work, and heartache, you may want to start out with some healthy captive bread (CB) sold from someone here on this site. Just go to the advertising area at the main page and either place an adveritisement for free, or respond to someone else's.

I am very sorry to hear this but sadly it isn't suprizing. A lot of wc newts die from a wide variety of reasons. I have had first hand experience with this. Like mentioned above, next time you purchase newts, buy some cb newts from a breeder.
 
i feel so bad about it, i couldn't feed them or help them. poor little guys.
