Post-aspiration:
Yeah, it sure was a lot of fluid to have come from such a small creature. A lot more could have come out, but my vet thought it best not to aspirate too much out in one go. The larva will be placed in hypertonic amphibian ringers while the fluid is examined to see if any bacteria can be detected, then isotonic, pretty much as Ed said he does. I've left it with the vet as there may be further fluid buildup.
