Axolotl strains

Stephen, axolotls by nature will root through these with their nose.

yea, sorry that everyone keeps telling you stuff, but it really is worth following the info given, esp with regards to sand, it is far better for them. some of us have kept axies successfully for years, so we have the "winning formula" as it were

I will try and get clearer pics especially when his other hands have finished forming (he has three more on the way) the red plant on the side is a died/ dried fern they dont die which is fab come in green red and blue (but they dont help with the nitrates or anything else either)

ps lorie i really like the axie in your pic it looks just like freckles!!!
