Axolotl gills turned white.

Thank you for the help I aim to take him to the vet today. I just wish i could help him more directly.

He is at the vet now, awaiting antibiotic treatment will find out if it's good or bad news tomorrow.

I am awaiting the full diagnosis which arrives on Monday, Leo has had some of his fluid removed for sampling and has thankfully survived the anesthetic. However this removal of excess fluid has caused him to roll on to his back and after nearly a week without eating his energy is waning. I am currently supporting him using the net which prevents him from rolling and he is currently very relaxed. He is on a prescribed antibiotics for septicemia however the likelihood is kidney or liver failure. He is seemingly nearing the end. His symptoms however are very odd a mixture of bloat, constapation and anemia. I would advise to anyone that reads this that if anemia lasts more then a day take your axie to the vet immediately.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
