Hi,

I'm not too sure where to post this, but i thought this would be the best section...
I was wondering if anyone has ever used the 14g Oceanic BioCube Aquarium for keeping an axolotl? Since the BioCube can used for both freshwater/saltwater aquarium i don't think it would be bad to use. If i am wrong though, please let me know! :)

I'm sure you could, but I'm not sure if the shape would be ideal for one axolotl. They need enough floor space to move around, and a bio orb might get pretty small when they get older.

The Biocubes are different from the bio orb though, bio orb is quite small and i agree are not suitable for a fully grown axie.. But the Biocubes are square shape... range from 14g-29g at my pet shop i believe. The measurements of the 14.3 gallon that I was speaking of are 15" x 15-1/2" x 17" high.

huh, haven't heard of these at all, I bet you could fit 1 axolotl in there

To be honest, I do not think the axi would be comfortable long term - - considering they can get up to a foot long...15" is not really a lot of walking space

A tank with a larger surface would be much more preferable. Technically you could keep an axolotl in there..but then again you can technically keep them in water trays, it doesn´t mean it´s advisable for the hobbyist. My advice would be to go with as large a tank as you can house with an emphasis on surface space.
