Another Mystery Salamander

Maybe you can get her a friend at a nearby creek.

In my opinion I think her favorite food would be blackworms. Mine like termites and tubifex worms best. But five minutes ago I fed one of my two males an entire baby earthworm. Pinheads will do well too.

OK, here are some more pictures of Mistrey. I think this will be all the pics because she's so wiggly I'm afraid she'll fall and get hurt.
This is the best I could do on her tail.

Mystery looks real nice and plump. Yep, the stripes are broken down the middle of the tail. Congrats on solving the case of the "Mystery" Salamander.

Cheers!

The key thing to look for in all NY desmos is the tear drop under the eye... if it has the light colored tear drop, it`s a desmos. Looking at how well defined the stripes are, and the slender body, it looks more like E. bis. I also don`t see the tear drop in the last pic, even though it`s not the greatest pic. You can see the tear drop very well in john`s pic, it`s the light coloring that goes from the back of the eye to the end of the mouth.
