just feed him/her what ever she/he will eat, all the foods you have suggested is good.

DO NOT use API quick start as a dechlorinator, it is not a dechlorinator. it is a bacteria booster.
taken from API website "API® QUICK START nitrifying bacteria allows for the instant addition of fish, as it immediately starts the natural aquarium cycle with beneficial bacteria, which converts toxic ammonia into nitrite, then into harmless nitrate to help prevent fish loss in your tank. Best for use when starting a new aquarium, after water changes and filter changes, and when adding new fish to an existing aquarium. API QUICK START nitrifying bacteria may be used in both fresh and saltwater aquariums"
dechlorinator are chemical not biological.
My apologies for the bad information. I thought it was a dechlorinator when I looked up the product. OP, listen to wolfen here - cease and desist using API Quick Start as dechlorinator. ONLY use Seachem Prime as a dechlorinator. Hope your little dude recovers.

API Quick Start is a dechlorinator but not all dechlorinators are created equal. If you do 100%, be mindful to cycle again. I would tub your axolotl for now and use the Seachem Prime to dechlorinate just in case there are undetected toxic metals in your water source. It will need 100% daily water changes.
thank you 2 so much he is finally eating for the first time in 2 weeks, it must have been the chlorine making him not want to. he isn't eating a lot but its still more than he has. (like 10 bloodworms)

Update, he ate a small worm today, wouldn't eat anymore after that, his tail has this wierd membrane sort of thing around it, he is more active than normal water has stayed at about 60f and finished full tub water change

try using methyline blue baths, if the membrane is slime coat it wont harm it, if it is bacterial then methyline blue will help clear it.

Had a question that I just want to be sure of. My marbled newt is a little over a year old and has started to develop and I noticed that he is starting to swell a little below his abdomen. I guess I’d like to know if they are his testes or if I need to be concerned.

Hello!!! I'm new to this website and idk how to ask a proper question on the designated spot yet, so I'll ask here, I'm a first time Axolotl owner, and my dad used to run an aquarium store, anyways... Orca, my Axolotl, seems to loose parts of her toes on one limb from time to time, I can't seem to find the problem. Tempature is well, she doesn't seem to have any infections or anything, though. And I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a vet in Brazil for amphibians that are in a reasonable distance to drive without stressing Orca out too much

Hello, I’m hoping for some advice please. Our Axolotl is about 7 months old. Till now no problem. Eating, growing and happy. He’s simply stopped eating. Everything looks fine, his gills look healthy and no apparent signs of sickness. He just swims past the pellets and bloodworm like he can’t smell it. I don’t think it’s a blockage either. Any ideas and suggestions for treatment would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
