I took some shots of the alpine newts this afternoon. These are my favourite newts to photograph. Their inexhaustible energy, insatiable appetites and curiosity results in plenty of opportunities for fun shots. Mind you, they're always on the move so it can be tricky.

My favorite species , they looks so nice and healthy, great pictures .
 
I would buy a poster of the last one. Great Pictures. I can't wait until mine mature a little more.
 
Very beautiful Mark, thanks for sharing. I actually always seem to see the males in pictures which are quite stunning but the females are quite the lookers themselves. I have really never seen a good closeup of a female alpine until now. Very nice.

Mark I guess these are Apuanus and not any of the other subspecies?
