So i know that aloe in dechlorinators is good becuase it helps the axies slime coat, but what are it effects on the acutal tank?
I know a lot of people say they dont like it bacuse the tubes and things in the tank get slimy, but is it actually bad? should i be cleaning it?
Thanks

Yes, you should be cleaning it. Aloe will add to your bioload, and as it breaks down, it will cause your ammonia to increase.

I changed my axies onto a pond dechlorinator that does not contain aloe vera because of the goo on tubing and they are in excellent health. And its much cheaper.
