Sorry about hyjacking the post but I did not know about cyciling untill now but I have already bought the axie!!!! is this a problem or can I still try cycling with the ready made culture? any advice will be apprecieated.Sorry about that oneatos

How long have you had your axolotl(s). You can still cycle the tank with your axolotl in it and you dont need to get stressed out at this point.
here is what you should do
1) collect a water testing kit, It will need to test for 'ammonia' Nitrate and Nitrite
2) post your results

Unrelated. I'm just wondering. What sort of sand are you using? It looks lovelly in the tank. And if you don't mind me asking, around how much was it? I'm surfing the net-market for good sand.

I used a mixture of play sand from home depot and black aquarium sand... washed it for about a week and it turned out pretty good.
