My male Fuzhong has been constantly attempting to court the female since october. During that period there was a small brake when the weather got cold, but courting resumed upon me turning on the heater. I've got the tank full of both real plants, fake plants, and plastic strips, but there haven't been any eggs yet. Any advise on how to get the female into condition would be welcome.

My fuzhongensis court and mate in Autumn time - I actually saw a spermatophore attached to her cloaca this year to prove it - but they don't lay till early spring. If the female was interested by his attempts, and still no eggs, wait a bit longer and they may suprise you.
There is always ther chance that the two animals are different forms or species, and so won't breed - were they from the same import?
I'vew had very similar animals which never bred in the end, despite years of courting.
Good luck!
Chris

They were bought at the same time from the same store at the same time, but they were also sharing their tank with a caudo, so there's a good chance they're not the same species. Thanks.
