They offered me 3 Neritina natalensis, saying that would help me keep the tanks clean, I do not eat the plants and that the newts will not attack. I find it quite interesting, however I have any fear because it can happen any incident! Consequently I have them in a small plastic box, but before placing them in tanks I would appreciate an opinion about this, and if they have any experience with this type of snail that I speak a little of it.

Thanks

Hi Lusiwarrior,

They are beautiful snails, aren't they? They are also tropical snails that need temperatures between 22-24°C so that might be a problem. They also need salt water to reproduce, in case you are interested in them breeding.

Hi blueberlin,
are very nice indeed! Yes, the temperature can become a problem, but I think it's nothing that does not solve. Yes, breeding them would be interesting!

cheers
