I thought I would start a thread on what axie owners loved the most in their tanks (aside from their axies themselves) it can be anything from a plant to a hide to a decoration to something home made or maybe even the bubble wand or lights. Maybe you don't have a favourite but your Axolotl does, so feel free to post those too! Pictures are optional but always appreciated ;)

I don't have a pic yet but I got creative and bought 3 small PVC joins and used aquarium silicone to glue on some old aquarium gravel that I had left from previous tanks. Once it had cured it was ready to put in my tank :)

This is a FANTASTIC idea!! I'll be getting some axies hopefully soon, so if your axies really like something let the rest of us know! (as well as how you made it/where you got it!)

I recently got some mopani(?) wood and that looks great!

I also love my plant that floats all over the top of the tank but i dont know what its called

I got my axie 2 bridges which double up as a hide. I think they're great and he loves walking across them :)

I have succumbed to racial stereotyping and got a snorkelling sheep ornament

I have PVC tubes in every tank I own. I have a stockpile bucket full of them. Useful for emergency home plumbing repair too!

Here's a couple of photos of the hides I made.

I used a tube of aquarium silicone
2 small PVC pipe joins
A medium 'Y' PVC pipe join
A bag of gravel that I've had from past fish tanks.

After I'd glued and left for the 72 hours to cure, I soaked them in fresh water for a day just incase there was any residue :)

Ahahaa!! I love the sheep, Nikki!

As for the gravel on the pvc piping, that's ingenious! Look great, too!

XD OMG lol that's precious. It's unfortunate that we don't have that kinda stuff here but I'm sure we would end up with a snorkeling moose or beaver lol.
