My tiger salamanders were hatched (is that the correct phrase?) August 2008.When will they be old enough to breed?although iam not sure of thier sex yet iam just curious. One salley likes to stay and even sleep in the shallow water, laying between the rocks, sometimes the other salley will sleep on top or right next to it,but usually stays in his cavern.Could they be doin the dirty deed or just practicing the fine art of makin love. There are some spots i see by looking under the glass tank with a magnifying glass, but maybe they are trapped air bubbles. Thanks for any help. Salrushdee

Tiger salamanders have only bred a small handful of times in captivity, and even those were in very specialized setups. Your tigers are not mating. Mating occurs in cold vernal ponds in the very early spring.

Tigers do not enter amplexus.
