I have some NVV larvae that I've try to raise and I'm having some major issues once they morph into efts. Based on some old posts I looked at I have attempted to keep them in a small 2.5 gallon tank with a substrate that is a mix of nature organic soil mixed with NEHERP vivarium substrate, the same substrate I have some older efts in except I picked out all the larger pieces of wood and charcoal that were at the surface of the substrate so the top portion where the efts are was mostly finer soil pieces.

I have a couple of small leaves in there and have been keeping the humidity around 60 - 70%. I have a good population of springtail in the substrate. I have been trying to feed the efts smaller white worms and chopped night crawlers with seemly zero success trying both tweezer feeding and just leaving the worms under the leaf in front of the efts. I was throwing a few fruit flies in there once a week just in case they would eat them instead (as well as building up the population of springtail).

I have had about 7 -8 die so far, some after several weeks and some just a few days after morphing. I have a few that are just about to morph and I’m not sure what approach to try since what I have been doing has been a failing. Maybe smaller containers with damn paper towel? I've been feeding the aquatic larvae microwroms and they start eating freezedried tubifex and blackworms when they get a little bigger. Maybe they aren't well feed enough before they morph? I welcome any suggests regarding setup and feeding from anyone with experience in raising notos. Thank you.
