Hey guys,
its that time again... ive rearranged my setup alittle... moved the driftwood from smack-bam in the middle to the side.. and got some more plants...
Ill be changing it AGAIN soon... just not sure how hahaha

Also... theres a really green bushy plant (cuttings) on the right and then on the left in some pics.. i moved it around a little. Hard to explain where... but you should "spot the difference" in each pic and know what im talking about.
Suggestions welcome

Also.. i need some help regarding the back ground that l have. I think im over it.. its too green.. what you think?

This is the pic where the plant that WAS on the right, is actually now on the left, behind the driftwood. Also if you look where the driftwood is now.. they have a little tunnel they always now swim through.

Theres alot more id like to do with the tank, but thought id update you guys, plus.. we all like pics

What kind of sand do you have? I like white sand. Love your driftwood too - I had some but it made the water brown.

The driftwood made the water brown??
I soaked the driftwood for a while and gave it abit of a scrub before l put it in the tank.
I was scared that it would make the water brown, but it didnt... luckily.

I took my driftwood from the beach, maybe thats why. Did you get the filter sand from a pool shop?? was it expensive?? Lol my leucistic is a fatty too.

tank looks great Jojo, i like how the top picture is set up, all ur plants look soooo healthy

Thanks Rob =))
Im suprised my plants have lasted and are still, one way or the another, alive LOL
ive never had ANY success with plants.

Theresa -
The pool filter sand was like $16, so not expensive at all. I cant remember how much sand (in weight) there actually was though, but l used the whole bag.

30kgs rings a bell... hmm

=))

What size is your tank jojo? And that'd be a good price for the sand. Mine was $5 for 5kg I *think* (might have been 10, but I only got half as much sand when I washed it!!!)

I too got the urge to re-arrange. And bought another one of those ceramic logs (shorter this time, with more holes in it) and put some more plants in. Will get photos eventually!!!

Hey JoJo... Great looking tank.! I like the arrangement of the first tank photo the best. I like the balance. Your little buds look like they are enjoying their playground.
Nice job.! LOve the sand, hard to find here....

Thanks so much guys!!!

Charlie - i have a 3 foot tank.. approx 43 (i think) gallons.
Thanks for that input on the setup Theresa, appreciate it. I like the first one better too =))

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
