Wahey! Got my babe Yang on saturday and she is doing splendidly! She polished off half a cube of frozen bloodworm near enough! I don't think i'll feed her today, she looked real fat after eating it all! It didn't look like that much food but it was nice to watch her chasing the little red worms as they floated!
Mates at college think she is scary/ wierd/ discusting I actually think she is the most interresting pet between the whole college group

Yin! Wahey!!! Wouldn't a melanoid (black) be better than a wildtype for that name? Wildtypes are way cool though- I've got a leucistic (white)and a wildtype myself.

will i need to get a spare tank for the 2nd one tho? won't they be quarantined in the shop? they don't sell quickly at all.

you dont need another tank for it to be quarantined just a container that will hold water that is big enough for it to live in for a month they should of quarantined it at the shop but its best to do it at home as well just in case

Vikki, you can use rubbermaid tubs. They're a lot cheaper than tanks for quarantine.

thanks, they might get the melanoid/ wild type today, i'll have to wait and see. Lovin my lil Yang first time trying her on frozen prawn today and she loves it!

Yang is around 10 cm long, Yin, my new wild type axi is around 6cm. They have cute characters, tho there's a bit of competition for food, i have to feed them quite a bit cos yang is greedy and chases Yin away from the food.
I know i should have quarantined Yin but he seems fine, Yang does not attack him i think it is just a threat but i will always keep a look out for diseases.
Yin always hides and i don't know where he is until i turn the light on and he comes out into the open, silly scamp!
