A couple days ago I started feeding my salamanders tiny night crawlers. Last night my biggest salamander (Spunky) threw up half of her worm. After wards she didn't respond to my hand but she was still breathing and her eye were open. Today my male salamander only ate one worm and didn't want his other one he turn away and went inside the cave. I also got another salamander on Sunday this one is really small and I had trouble getting him to eat today but he finally took it. (He seems picking >..>) There all three acting weird I don't if it's the food or the other salamander in the cage now. I didn't think it would be a problem seeing there not like cats. If anyone know whats going on leave a comment.

Could it possibly be because the worms you used were red wrigglers(Eisenia foetida)? They secrete a foul taste.

If you have dug your worms from a worm farm or bought them as "composting worms" then they most likely are, and believe me the smell is vile.

That is the extract name on the container should I throw them out?? and buy the other ones I've been using?? I bought the other ones from Walmart and they were Baby Crawlers they seemed to like them.

Compost worms aren't dangerous, they're just not generally well-accepted. Nightcrawlers are best. It could be that you're feeding too much. What kind of salamanders do you have? How big are they?

Eisenia hortensis are called European nightcrawlers, but they secrete the foul substance as well. Scientific names are way better!
