my new tiger (A. m m not mavortium mavortium) is nuzzling his worms, it's really odd, when i put them in he instantly went for the closest and tossed it around before eating it (just as i expected) but when he went to his second worm he just burried his face in it and rolled ontop of the others before he started flipping them onto his back (he bites it and then jerks his head up and releases it so it lands on his head, he then repeats with another worm).

im a little worried about this, i haven't read about this sort of behaviour, i know that the worms can't harm him but him doing it is still very odd for a carnivor, it would be as if a cougar grabbed a rabbit and flipped it onto it's head like a hat and then continued on its way.

any help or suggestions?

It sounds silly, but mine does that with earthworms too. He nuzzles and smells them with his face then thrashes his head from side to side and won't eat them. Havn't seen him try the worms on as a hat though! I assume he is simply a picky eater and prefers crickets, although I'd like to see him eat a variety of foods especially because worms are rich in protein and nutrition.

im going to be getting some crickets the next time i head into town, i just wonder how my slow mello is going to catch and eat fast crickets, it would be like a fat hulk beating up a well toned flash.
