I'm graduating college in Pennsylvania and am making the trek to Santa Monica, California. I have two firebelly newts, three years now, and I'd hate to have to give them away. Is there anything I can do to transport them safely? My car may not even have good air conditioning, and it's a 2500 mile trip over a span of 4 days. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions, or willing to give them to a good home in north-western Pennsylvania if anyone reading is interested (if it turns out I cannot keep them safely).

Thank you,
Kelly

Just keep in them in a cooler with a ice pack. A good container could be a old worm box or tupperware. Keep them in moist moss/wet paper towels/ect. Make sure to have an ice pack or something cold in there. Cold water bottles would work well also.

Or you can have someone hold on to them for you in PA and when you get to CA they can ship them overnight to your new destination.

Thank you so much! I'm so glad I can bring them. :)
