will male Axolotls try and breed with each other?

I think i have 3 male axolotls(2 for sure) cause i've seen their cloaca enlarged and they've tried to stimulate each other a few months ago, does that happen often or just when they became sexually mature?

I had 3 males together, and occasionally they would drop spermatophores. Of course, when one did it, the others would have to join in. I think it's pretty normal.

Could you...ahem...describe this? I've heard of males using items such as an air stone for stimulation, but never each other. I am simply curious has to see whether or not they are "fighting".They aren't nipping at each other or anything, are they?

umm...well my two larger ones were bumping against the smallest ones cloaca while theirs were enlarged. So I thought maybe the smaller was a female and that they were trying to mate, but now that it has grown and become sexually mature I know he is male.
