I think my tank is cycling properly this time! And whilst it had been cycling, I've noticed that my PH had now risen to 6.6 which is a lot better than it was :)
I added some stones and mossy stuff from my pond,in some tights, to the tank a few days ago and today ive added some crushed shell to raise the PH that little bit more

Things are looking up!

heres a pic of the results

heres the tank that im cycling (needs a clean when its cycled)
The back left hand corner is mopani wood and i have a few plants scattered about, some real rocks, a fake rock and a feeding jar :)

So heres another stupid question from me,
ive just tested my tank again and got these readings
PH - 6.8/7
Ammonia - between 0-0.25 ppm
NitrIte - 0.25ppm
NitrAte - between 10-20ppm (closer to 10ppm)

Im assuming this means the tank is nearing the end of its cycle as its moved on from my previous results above, however;
1) Do i need to add more ammonia? At any point?
2) Or do i just just leave it until ammonia and nitrite are 0?

Basically do i just continue to leave it until nitrAte is the only thing left then do 20% changes until its under 40ppm?
And then am i okay to put my lottle in the tank? :confused:
