As of right now I see this white stringy stool comming from one of my axie's ? There stool is normally pellet like but I have NEVER seen this. Would anyone know what that is ? Breeding ? ? :errr:

we can't tell without a picture, but its probably nothing to be alarmed about. that font is HUGE

I was trying to take pictures but he/she was swimming too much then it detached. Doesn't seem normal. Hope nothing is wrong.. :(

just keep an eye on him/her. If he/she remains restless for a few days something may be wrong. Stressed axolotls can form white skin patches which can drop off when stressed, it could be this. Another reason for restlessness is they are trying to breed. That white thing may have been a spermatiphore (salamander sperm) is there any other axies in the tank which could be getting him in the mood?

its hard to tell what it is if we cant see it. Ceep an eye out, hope he/she is ok.

This happens to my lotl every so often, I don't think its anything to be alarmed about. I always thought it might be because she had too much fat in her diet, it hasn't happened since I switched her to earthworms.

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
