So there's like these bits of white mucus stuff floating around in the axolotl tank and it's in the filter and stuff as well. It keeps coming out of the filter and sucked up by it again. What do I do?
The white mucus stuff builds up on the inside of the glass. I usually do a 100% water change. Take the axolotls out, drain the water to about an inch or so, and use my hand to just scrub the inside tank walls to get it off, then remove the rest of the water.
When my axolotl was young and growing she would slime -a lot-, but when she stopped growing so fast it wasn't a problem anymore. Is your axolotl a juvenile? All you can do is do lots of water changes and keep your lotls tank clean.
