White fuzzy object on moss ball?

Does anyone have any idea what it could be? It was not lint, I don't think, because it was attached to the ball (though it came off without much effort).

Also, the axie in that tank just had fungus and had a few salth baths to treat it, I was thinking maybe the fungus fell off and stuck to the moss ball. I do not have a picture because I already removed it, but what could it be? Do moss balls grow these types of things? Should I buy a new one?

I would just keep an eye on your tank, as long as you don't find any other mysterious things it should be fine. Next time try to take a picture before removing.

I think it probably is what you thought - a fungus ball that fell off your axie after treatment and got stuck on the moss. Either that or its a bit of leftover food or waste in the moss that has grown the fungus on it.

i get fungus balls around my tank too! they rarley get on the axies if you remove them quick enough. I bought a hood for my tank and i haven't had a problem since so i think it might be comming from inside the house
