Where to get axolotl food?

HI!
Dont know if this is a daft question or not?

I dont have an axie just yet but I was just wondering where people get their earthworms from?
Are the ones you can get from bait shops safe to feed? My local pet shops only sell crickets and roaches and things like that

You can catch them but make sure there are no chemicals in the soil first.

I get mine from Amazon but if you're worried about price you can start your own worm farm in the garden.
