Question: Where to buy red wigglers/nightcrawlers?

I want to give my axolotls a more diverse diet. At the moment I feed them bloodworms and shrimp, but I want a little more meat to be added to their diet. I don't really like to order online. Would a bait shop work? There's a live bait shop about 15 minutes away that is pretty reliable. I want to make sure to get worms without any added chemicals though, for obvious reasons. Any ideas?

I use bait worms. I've tried all the worms in my area and get them the best ones. When they are not available, I order them online.

I made myself a cheap worm farm and ordered 1000 super red worms, or european nightcrawler, from uncle jims worm farm online. Free food and fishbait forever!!!

Agreed ... if you have the time to raise worms yourself, you'll probably save money and won't need to worry about chemicals. (Also, if you happen to have a garden, you can turn your food waste into compost. Win-win!)
