Where to buy an axolotl?

I'm looking to buy an axolotl... does anyone know any reputable online breeders or any places near Brewster, NY to buy an axolotl in-person?

Wards Scientific sells them - but they are not cheap. They are located in Rochester, NY. They generally sell to educational institutions but, according to their website, they do sell some stuff to 'Home Science enthusiasts'. It would be worth contacting them to see if they will sell to you, if you can't find another source. I don't know if you can visit them; I teach at a university and I got my axolotls from them through the mail. Good Luck!

Just use our classifieds section. I got 2 sets of axolotl eggs over the past 2 weeks from breeders there, and I am trying to decide whether or not I need some juveniles from another ad on there. No brainer.

I have ordered from Gillywater Aquatics. The owner was very helpful, answering all of our questions. The prices where great (I got a lucy for $60), shipping was free. The axolotl arrived perfect and gorgeous. They post every baby individually and update site with new listing every Monday.
