Im thinking of buying my newts from this place called aqatics unlimited in United States, Wisconsin, but im not sure> they have a lot of experienced people there and it is a huge store> they occationally get firebellies in and I want to buy from them. They get them from a breeder I'm guessing. and im not sure what to do> any ideas?

What makes you think they get from a breeder? Captive bred Fire bellies are rare and never produced in enough amounts to be commercially available. Most likely they are wild caught and will need to be rehabilitated in order to survive. I guess in the end you just need to observe the newts in the store to be sure they're healthy. If they're truly captive bred, they should be mostly in the water, and should not look skinny and should be well muscled with wide paddle like tails.

And, if possible ask the petstore dude to have the newt fed to make sure it eats before buying it

As AeonMapa says, it will be highly likely that the firebellied newts will be wild caught. I would recommend not purchasing them as they tend to be highly stressed and sickly animals. Have a look through the 'For Sale' section here and see if there are any captive bred animals available.

They are definitely WC, no doubt about it. Why would you guess they are CB? That is something extraordinary that i would only consider if i had sufficient reason to. If all you´ve seen are some newts at the shop, you can bet all your money and your grandma´s wedding ring that those newts are WC.
