Hi. Ive read how good pellets are but i cant seem to find where to buy them from. Ive searched various websites but most of them seem to be american and dont ship to the uk. Ive read that salmon pellets are a good food source - is this all axolotl food pellets are? (ive seen these pellets specially formulated for axies but they only ship inside australia) I dont want to just go out and buy salmon pellets because im not sure what potentially dangerous ingredients there are, if any, to look out for? Or even what the fat/oil/protein etc content should be. I may be being over cautious but i love my little guy and would hate to harm him by not doing a little research first. If anyone feeds their axies on pellets could you please let me know where to buy them. Thank You.

I give my axys sinking catfish pellets on an occasional basis, they seem to wolf them down! if i remember the name of them i will edit this post!

*EDIT*

King british catfood pellets

Just add about 10 and they will go wild!!!!!

(do not use on gravel and make sure they hoover them all up cos they go off in about 24 hrs)

Hello. I just noticed two notches, white small bubbles on the hind legs of one of my male newts.

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
