I did some measurements on my lot yesterday.
My largest is at 3.75" and the others in the "big" range are pushing past 3.5".
The smallest one is at 2.25", and there are about 3 at roughly that "low end" of the scale.
Most are over 3" at this point.
On the 15th-20th of this month they will be at the 2 month old mark.
Considering the weather now, I'm not going to try sending them off just yet (would probably consider local and even prefer it). I can wait until March or even Early April easily. By that point they will be 3-3.5 months old, and who knows how big.
Now I've read people saying 3" is a good size to ship at, and I've seen people on here who got 2" juvies as well. I'm looking at the lot I have, and quite honestly, only the larger 3.5"+ larva look robust enough to me personally to even consider shipping. Anything under that size simply looks fragile to me. Lol.
So those of you with experience sending and receiving them, what's a good size?
