I have two 4.5 inch long axolotls who are currently living in plastic boxes. I have two ten gallon fish tanks for them, but don't know what size I should switch them over at.

Is it okay to switch them over now or should I wait?

And at what size are they okay to live with each other?

Assuming they are about the same size they could go into a cycled tank now.

As long as the tanks are cycled and the filter movement is not too rough, they should be a fine size to go over into larger tanks.

If they are about they same size they can live together. Just make sure they are well fed.

But I would consider looking into a larger tank for the future. A 10 gallon for two axolotls is too small.

If they end up living together they would only be living in the ten gallon tank until they got bigger, and then I have a bigger tank for them. Right now I have two ten gallon tanks though, as I am not sure if I am going to be housing them together just yet. They are the same size, I just would hate for any accidents to happen.
